About mETaLmuSicRaDio

Bleeding your ears since November 5, 1996.

Thirty Years of All Metal

mETaLmuSicRaDio went live on November 5, 1996 — one of the first dedicated metal internet radio stations on the web. No pop. No compromise. Just metal, all day, every day, for thirty years straight.

What started as a passion project has grown into a deep catalog spanning every corner of the genre: Death, Black, Thrash, Doom, Power, Progressive, Heavy, Gothic, Industrial, Alternative Metal, Roots, and everything that refuses to fit neatly into a box. Over 795 artists and counting.

The Format

mETaLmuSicRaDio is a 24/7 automated station. Our rotation is built on thirty years of curation — not an algorithm trained to chase streams, not a playlist loop, not a mood board. Every song earns its place. Every artist gets airtime. From the band you already know by heart to the one you have never heard of but are about to.

The rotation cycles through twelve genre categories with time-aware scheduling: classic heavy metal in the morning, extreme and black metal after dark, doom and gothic in the small hours, and live progressive albums on Wednesdays. Sunday mornings belong to the Sanctuary block — Christian and uplift metal for the faithful. Every block closes with a station ID and a power hit. The library rotates so that no song is forgotten and no artist withers from neglect.

No Commercials. No Nonsense.

We do not run advertising. We do not take payola. We do not skip artists because they are hard to categorize. We play metal. That is the only job.

You can request songs, rate what you hear, browse the playlist, and see what is coming up next — all from the player on the front page. No account required.

Who We Are

mETaLmuSicRaDio is an independent station operated by w3K LLC out of Boynton Beach, Florida. The technology stack is built and maintained in-house — from the broadcast automation running on SAM Broadcaster, to the streaming infrastructure, to this very website. Everything is custom. Nothing is off-the-shelf.

Thirty years in and we are still here. Still loud. Still metal.
